Description
This course engages students in a study of the philosophy of science, the scientific method, the nature and organization of living matter, and general treatment of the structure, reproduction, evolution and continuity of living organisms. The course provides basic principles of biological science. Upon completion, students with should possess a basic competence in the skills of analysis, synthesis, and evaluation essential to the understanding of intellectual ideas and principles (three hours of lecture and 1 hour of laboratory experience).
