    Description

    This course is the study of reading skills in relation to the psychological bases, developmental principles, and historical and contemporary issues in reading practices for teaching elementary school children of diverse backgrounds. The integration of reading, writing, and listening activities is designed to help candidates make logical connections among the disciplines and to support their development as teachers of reading and communicative skills. (20 Hours of Field Experience required) Prerequisites: Class rank of Junior and admitted to the Teacher Education Program
