    Description

    EDU 440 - Special Topics in Early Childhood. This course deals with topics which provides students with a basic knowledge to pursue areas of special interest in the field of education with emphasis on students with special needs, instructional strategies, environment, inclusions, federal strategies, family partnership, and multicultural consideration. Students participate in approved, regularly scheduled workshops and seminars sponsored by the college or by a recognized institution or organization. Topics include social cognition, children and their families, and moral development. Focused readings and study of selected topics of student's choice form a major part of the course. Taught by our faculty and by experienced practitioners, this course allows both matriculated and non-matriculated students to keep up with critical trends and topics in the field of education.
