Description
HIST 236 will broaden the students' knowledge of the Civil Rights Movement by the examination of the movement's major tactics, organizations, strategies/philosophies, legislation, and social thought. The course will provide a conceptual framework that will assist students in their effort to critique the writings and speeches of various black theorists, activists, and leaders of the 1950's and 1960's.
